love and theft in poetry

Saying taxation is theft is like saying the brain steals blood from skin.
Without the mechanism of functional society, your money doesn’t exist.
The niceties that allow the exchange currency collapse
along with law and order and roads and stuff.
Taxation is collective effort to help each other collectively
on an economy of scale no one person or group of people can accomplish,
at least partially and we just need to make it better not tear it down.
You were born into its invisible advantages and benefited from them your entire life.
You can’t take your ball and go home now that you’ve taken so much from that system.
Don’t be the kind of blindered egotist who believes
that you sprang up from nowhere
that you’re on an island of your “hard work” and “genius”
that you’re not part of ten million invisible shared systems
many of which are roads and schools and stuff driven by giving back
by paying the fucking tax.
Not dealing honestly with taxation is theft
not only theft but arrogant short-sighted delusion.
Fix it instead of tearing it down.
You have been given so much more by it than you care to admit.
The debt and credits are rolling in their nature.
Give back give back give back.
