Cornhub in Stuff

I didn’t go to work today.

I was actually laying in bed umming and ahhing if I should go in, but I was shivering, which is a deadset sign for me that a fever is setting in :( Ergh.

I eventually concluded that going in wasn’t worth it and I’d have to do freezer/chiller today which wouldn’t have helped, so I rang work to call in sick. I even waited until 6:15am when more people would have arrived to start work, but there was still no answer when I rang.

So I went back to sleep.

I had a phone call around 8:15am from the store manager, which I answered. He said the grocery manager said I hadn’t showed up for work and got him to ring me (you know, cos she’s too lazy to do it herself).
I explained the situation, as soon as he asked how I was, and I answered, “Pretty sick actually.” lol.
He said he figured that was the case and I explained that I tried to call earlier on but no-one answered, so I think I’m hopefully off the hook.

I’m feeling a bit better as I write this ^touch wood^. I did put a blanket on my bed though and have been trying to sweat this out all day, and I pretty much haven’t left the bed all damn day.
I hate when I get fevers cos getting rid of it is a bitch. I know from previous experience that I have to drink a lot of water and keep my body hot to sweat it out, and I think I’ve done okay, but it means that the sheets and my pillow get all sweaty and I smell like a sewerage system :P Come get it, ladies!

And then I started getting all moody. Like how a bad part about being single for so long is that I never have anyone to take care of me. I’m on my own, wah wah woe is me lol.

Thank fuck I feel a little better, for now at least. I don’t think this is gone yet though. I wanna make sure this fucks off before I end up in hospital like I have a few times in the past when I’ve started to feel like this. They usually hook me up to a drip and I’ll feel amazing after a while. I’d rather not go through the trouble. Just wish I knew what starts this bullshit.

I did hear my housemate vacuuming upstairs today, and I know his room smelt like a dumpster when I went in there to check if his cat had food, but that was last weekend so I doubt that caused it. No idea how he lives in there all the time. Like literally never leaves his room except to eat, and even then takes plates up there so there’s few left here for me and Nick to use.

I hope I can go into work tomorrow. It’s a big shift though and I’m sure I’ll be left with all of today’s work, because I can guarantee no-one will have done it whilst I was sick today. It’s a constant uphill battle sometimes.
Thankfully the new store manager is a good worker and our grocery manager is going. Thank Christ for that. No-one can be as lazy as she is.
And that’s not me being a bitch. She even says she’s lazy as fuck.
Apparently she got a job in the DC. LOL good luck with that!

There were some pretty funny pranks pulled today due to April Fools Day, mostly from company’s that I saw, as I was a hermit all rugged up like a loser and all today. I did have to wonder if anyone thought me calling in sick was a prank but that’s probably going a bit too far.

My favourite prank was probably the pornhub website. What else do I do when sick in bed? Might as well! I got this nice surprise LOL
