One of these days, while lying in bed together I will get you to respond to me. You will let me touch you and when I do you will finally feel the touch as love and not as whatever it is you are actually feeling.

One of these days, when we are together you will see me as the girl that loves you. The girl that looks past the faults. The girl that sees so much more in you than you see yourself.

One of these days, you will hear my laugh, my real laugh. And when you do it will make you smile, your real smile. And with any luck, I will get you to truly laugh. You hold back your laughs, but who am I to comment on that? I too can't seem to laugh out loud my own true laugh.

One of these days, you will look around at what has been created and you will relax and see the true beauty in it all. Not only will the guilt go away but you will feel pride. You will accept the fact that everything is okay, and not only is it okay, it's down right wonderful.
