Not so much of a day so fair, I went out to catch the 12.2o bus and ending getting on the 1.20 bus, not so bad on a warm day but it was cold; So I was in the shops in midday.
My first visit was the Library, to extend the loan of the book I’m reading ‘Descent’ by Ken MacLeod, he is a very capable righter [sci-fi] I was also there t show them the book, our Westie has been round the book with her teeth, I have told her off but she just looked up at me!!
The Librarian thanked me for showing them the damage, I had already booked it out, so it is marked in the computer, so my rate of reading needs upping; as next time the book will be taken out of circulation! Lola a lover of words!
I was also looking for 2032 button batteries for our scales, of later the weight is changing slowly, I looked for the batteries before and found them at two fore £4, today I tried the pound shop, I don’t truest all there prices but for button batteries prices a fine; eight for £1.
In just fifty-two hours we will jump forward in to British Summer Time. (c8 at last …..
If any one out there likes Sci-fi I can recommend Ken MacLeod’s books, as a starter I would say ‘The Night Sessions’ as a good introduction.
