GIRL!!!

I really thought if I found out we were having another girl I might feel sad or disappointed. But I dont. As soon as I saw her on the screen I didn’t care. Alexandra Jane is on the way and I couldn’t be happier.

We are going to have sisters in our little family! Leah is already excited. Everything she did today was “for baby Alex” she kept looking at the photos they gave us and was just so excited.

This appointment was an elective one where they just show you the baby and you find out the gender. Our anatamy scan is 2 weeks and they don’t allow children in the room with you so we decided to go to a different place in town so we could have Leah with us. So in a couple weeks we will find out how baby Alex is doing health wise.

I already got down Leahs old clothes and just sifted through them. It brought back so many memories. I’m pretty excited me won’t have to buy too many new things. And I don’t guess I’ll have another shower either. Which is fine with me. I’m not really all about being the center of attention opening gifts anyways. I wouldn’t mind having a party celebrating her that doesn’t include gifts? Maybe I can arrange that somehow.

Everyone is over the moon. My mom and dad brought over a “it’s a girl” cookie cake in celebration–so sweet. The only person who was negative at all was my grandma. She already has my daughter as a great grand and then my cousin found out a few weeks ago that they are having a girl and so she mentioned on the phone that they were “kind of hoping for a boy” So now I just feel bad that baby Alexandra is going to feel like a disappointment. But I don’t think she will. I just think my grandma has lost her filter and doesn’t know when not to say things. She’s 81 after all.

I’m going to try and go to sleep now even though I feel entirely too excited still to do so. I’m a very happy mom of TWO little girls :)
