I slept very poorly, last night. At about 8pm I took a Unisom Sleep Tab, in the hopes I would be able to actually fall asleep (and stay asleep). At 9:00, I started to feel groggy, and at 9:30 I felt like I could just pass out and sleep. I made it to bed by 9:40. As soon as I laid down to try and sleep, my mind started racing all across the board, from people I talked to earlier in the day, to what recipes I should make next, to plans I had later in the week, to ruminating on how lovely the weather is. Anything under the sun.

Around 10:30 or so my boyfriend crawled into bed with me (I assume the time). I was still drifting/snoozing. By 11:15 I’d had enough and got out of bed and went into the living room. I kept all the lights off, but perused Facebook on my phone, and played solitaire. Around 12:15 I finally went back to bed. I think I fell asleep within 15 minutes, this time.

I distinctly remember waking up at least 4 times throughout the night - each time for only 5 or 10 minutes, but full-on awake and alert.

My alarm went off at 8:15 this morning. I was exhausted, tired, and irritable, but I got up and got ready for my day.
