'Fugees in Voices Windward

We’ve left refugees to their fate before in Europe.
They were Jewish.
For the next hundred years we would wax lamentations about the horror they were left to die in.
We seem keen to repeat at the earlier opportunity.

Our green fields and open lands have no space for the lucky few who got so far and managed to escape the bombs with our names on them.

It’s ok tho, We’ll use their sorrow to leave our greater community, hand over responsibility and build a fortress along our cliffs.

I’ve never been ashamed of my birth place, not really, I saw good people fight against evils pursued by Westminister, but now, it seems every voice is happy to sit idle while “surplus humanity” decays at our feet.

To those of you more able than I who go out there and support people in need whether in Calias, Kos, Berlin or even in our local communities, you guys have my love and respect, you are beautiful souls.
