Lightning in Talk Story

Aloha…
I went to bed last night at 11pm… and instantly fell asleep…
Half an hour later… and though my eyes were closed… there was so much light in the room… that just for a moment… I thought I had gone to sleep with the bedroom light on…
I opened my eyes… and of course the room was dark…
But a few seconds later… there was a very loud BOOM… followed by the rumbling of thunder…
This was followed by another lightning strike… another loud boom… and more rumbling of thunder…
For the next 45 minutes this went on… and on… and on… accompanied with strong wind… heavy rain… and even hail…
And sometime during all of this… I fell back asleep…
