good enough in poetry

I want to have an adventure
I am very very lucky really
I have gotten to have a few adventures
they all blew up in my face eventually
still I’ve gotten to have adventures and
a whole lot of people never get any
but the thing is I’m greedy
I want to have another adventure
I want to have an adventure like the Goonies
I want to roll out on a crazy old longshot
I want to have some thrills along the way
but in the end it all works out
in the end we save the day and
the good times get to last for a while longer.
I want to have an adventure like the Goonies.

One-Eyed Willy, you right bastard
send me in the path of the right story
or the wrong woman
let me taste that gold again.
