A two day break. in A small but passable life.

So after a week OD is back online. And it is still not working. It took me from 5:21pm to 8:09pm to read 8 of my Bookmarks. 2 hrs. and 40 min. Totally sucks.

At least the weather has given me a bit of a break. Wednesday night was a 47 degree night. Last night was a 56 degree night. That was two nights back in my summer sleeping bag. Always nice. And of course it was not to last. It is 30 degrees out there right now at a little after 11pm. And drizzling rain which will probably freeze by morning.

After two full days of a silent phone, yesterday I received 3 calls. Deb called. Francilynn called. And Jassy called.

Today's visit to the student union was the last visit until January 2. 12 days I'll have to spend elsewhere. Either Panera or Hardee's or splitting my time between the two. And I guess it's back to cold food for twelve days. And no instant coffee or hot chocolate.

So today I made the most of it. I was up shortly after noon and sitting in the student union with heated up chili and hot chocolate and two cups of coffee.

I don't know about posting to both OD and prosebox. I'll try to post to OD and if it works I'll leave it at that.

I found something awesome:

"Before us, the denizens, operatives, propagandists and enforcers of the old order grow more certain of their convictions in direct proportion to its accelerating rate of decay. Stoned-faced phalanxes of soldiers and bristling clutches of militarized cops stand guard before the entrances of shoddy, swaying towers. But lies cannot be built to last. The lipless grins of a billion skulls mock the illusory staying power of deceit, while the perennial yearnings of the heart and its perpetual coupling with the eternal present endure. Love songs ring out among the rot of empires. "
