I must have been bloody exhausted. I woke up at 8:30pm, and now I feel like crap because I passed out when I got home from work and gym today, and now I’ll probably be up half the night when I have a 6:30am start and a 10 hour shift tomorrow. Ergh, lovely!
There were some pretty cute guys at the gym today though, so that’s always a bonus. Usually there isn’t, would you believe. Jetts had much hotter guys than this gym does, but after today, I was like “Hellllllllllllo Nurse!”
The hottest one asked me if he could use my machine, and I was like, “Do me right here, right now!”
Actually, I said ‘Sure man’, like a loser.
I’ve applied for leave for the first week of next month, except the guy who needs to approve it is always on leave himself, so yeah, now I’m wondering if it will be approved or not. I’m meant to be at Mardi Gras that week! My flights have been booked for months, but I don’t wanna book my accom until I’m sure I can get it off work. The flights were only $70ish return because I booked them during a deal forever ago and thought why not. Sometimes I’m prepared like that.
It’s not even a big deal if I go on not. I have a ticket to the Underwear Party, which I haven’t been to in a few years now, but I don’t know if I want to even go to it. I feel like maybe I’m a bit old for that now, which makes me boring.
I might go. Will see what happens.
I never know when the last Mardi Gras will be before marriage equality arrives in Australia. I swear I’ve been to like 10 of these things now, and priorities change. I’ve been there before and haven’t even gone to the parade. I just watched the live broadcast from my hotel room LOL. I’d travelled all the way to Sydney, with the parade down the road and didn’t even go. I did go to the after party though.
This year I’m thinking I’d watch the parade but not go to the after party. It hasn’t been very good in years now anyway and it’s overpriced drinks. At least it’s outside of the Lockout Laws area, so I could party and drink until 8am. Anywhere else, Sydney’s nightlife has basically been killed off. It’s quite sad really. My city’s laws aren’t quite as harsh, but they may be soon.
No wonder everyone is moving to Melbourne these days. Just today, I see another long-term Brisbane guy is making the move there.
Ergh, I should probably try to force myself to sleep again. This almost feels like jetlag again.
