Well today (Thursday) started well. I couldn’t find my office pass, the coffee machine was broken, and I had to return an Amazon purchase today. More about that later.
On the plus side, all five visible planets were aligned in the southern sky this morning, and it was fun to stand in the garden spotting them with the boy this morning at 7 am. Dinosaurs and astronomy are the exciting things in his life at the moment. It would be pretty awesome if my son became a palaeontologist or an astrophysicist.
I bought this Ukulele Blues book from Amazon this week. I was quite excited about it. I want to learn blues ukulele. I need a blues name. All good blues men have a blues name with an adjective in there, like Johnny “guitar-balls” Watson. I’ll have to work on it. Anyway, I received my book in 24 hours, only to find page 5 missing. So I will have to wait a little longer to become a ukulele blues legend.
To return the book I had to post it in an “Amazon return locker”. Luckily there is one at the same place I go nudie swimming. I was slightly concerned that my email says I can’t return anything bigger than 30 cm, because my book is 31 cm. However, it turns out there is a little extra room. I’ve never used one of these lockers before. They seem to be powered by witchcraft. You just type in your pin number and a door opens by magic. Job done! I was quite impressed. I wonder if you can have stuff delivered there too.
Update (Friday) and the Amazon return seems to have worked. My replacement arrived this evening. Sadly however, they either sent me the same book back, or they have a problem with the whole batch, because the new one also has page 5 missing. So I get to play with the Amazon locker again.
Tomorrow we are going to visit Stratford to celebrate the dragons birthday. More news next entry, with pictures I hope.
