Thursday 28th January.
I didn’t expect this weather today, blue sky’s and sunshine, and our towels drying outside this morning; and here is one of those English traits already!
Our dogs are waiting for breakfast still, some one forgot to put Lola’s raw meat frozen cubes to thaw, the four she has in the morning are in a plastic box floating in warm water, I had a rude state to yesterday, my Daughter called ‘the dogs food is here’ and there I was at the front door in my pyjamas with out the benefit of sunshine!
The lounge in this house was quite dark, it is quite long with one small window at one end and did have a black patterned wallpaper on one long wall, the feature wall! Now all that is now banished, all the walls are now a light blue and the room feels much brighter.
I must say my Daughter did most of the work, I just did a part of the second coat, when the owners visited before Christmas they told us we were could paint the walls, ‘that’ he told us looking at the feature wall ‘was a previous tenant’ I think they will think better of these tenants!
Mid day.
The lovely weather of morning had gone as gray clouds sailed in, there was a short rain that got me going, the towels were near dry and I carried the cloths dryer in before the wet weather spoiled a morning drying!
Ziggy has been to see his grooming lady, she has two Bearded Collie’s so she knows haw to handle the breed; Zingy always looking well groomed. Lola is a puff ball just now, she is off next week, being a Westie most groomers can trim a Lola!
Late afternoon.
I took a lift with my Daughter to The Range, a out of town craft shop among other things, it is close to a main road in and out of Truro, Jenny bought what she wanted and went of to work, I walked the other way to a bus stop.
With it being a busy road I thought getting a bus into Truro, the weather was rather different than the conditions this morning, standing under a bus stop as the light faded it felt cold; made worse by a stiff wind. It wasn’t the place I thought to get on a bus, three park and ride buses went by, I can’t get on those with bus pass card, it wasn’t a good place to wait, soon the day light was getting low and at last we could see the lights of a bus coming towards us.
I thought I may go into Tesco’s, but as we drove into the Truro Bus Station the 22 bus was ready to leave for Granpound Road; so I took off to the 22 bus and home.
Under a dark sky.
The bin lorry comes tomorrow, we have the rubbish bags and box to recycle our castoff’s. With torch in hand I was sorting the rubbish into the three bags, Paper, cardboard and plastics go into the labelled bag, glass and tins [cans] go onto the box, there is some large sheets cardboard to go so I take care placing every thing as the wind is blowing up; I wonder haw far I will hunt for my bags in the morning.
It is late here now, Lola has been sniffing around my bedroom, now it is quiet so I shall look for Lola; she would like to stay in my room. If she thinks she wants to go down stairs at 2 o clock she just barks ‘I’m ready to down now’ but mine not ready to get up just then; down stairs she has several beds to sleep in.
It’s just after midnight, so now it is the 29th of January 2015; just …………….
