Exchange Student in Out in the Open

So I decided that I would invite an exchange student into my home. She got here on Thursday night.
She’s 17 years old and she’s from Italy. She will be attending the school here. She is doing half a school year so I’ll have her for about 5 months.
It’s not as easy as I thought it’d be. Why I thought having a complete stranger in my home would be “easy” is beyond me. However, she appears to be a smart, kind girl.
I am having a little trouble feeling comfortable. I am worried that she isn’t happy here. I don’t have a really nice clean big American home. I have a small untidy home that has a dog.
There have been some really good times with her though. We did some fun things that she found interesting.
My daughter absolutely loves her. She wants to be next to her all the time. I really hope they really get to know each other and learned to love each other. Lily loves people very easily. I hope the ES does the same.
