Writing because for the first time this year, I failed to do a Daily Entry. Well… that was yesterday but I still wasn’t planning on one today… so does that make it two?

Yesterday was another LONG day of driving for an interview. Interview felt good. Not brilliant but good. Hoping (thesaurus check: anticipating, assuming, expecting, trusting, wishing, pleading, begging, beseeching) that ONE of these two interviews becomes a job!! This morning I got e-mailed from another county that I applied to that they are doing some budget work to see if they can offer benefits and then they will start calling interviews. So… that’s good. Of the 5 County Attorney Applications I’ve done this year; I’ve heard back from 3. Damn do I want a grown up job.

He says.... Today, I was planning on going in to work. I already told everyone that matters that I had a lot of interviews this week so I wasn’t going to be available much… but I planned on doing some things today while I was still in the state. Snow. Snow-pocalypse. Not because we had so much.... but because ONCE AGAIN… the city did an awful fucking job of snow removal and preparation. The mayor said she dispatched people at midnight… well, then why was the busiest street in the city CLOSED FOR SAFETY at 4:30 pm? If your people can’t do their jobs… fix it. Because… yeah. Genuine issues.
Seeing it all first hand when I woke up this morning? I said “Fuck this noise!” I’d driven over 1,000 miles in two days… I was exhausted… I was not going to tangle with shitty roads in order to do a few hours at a job that doesn’t pay and doesn’t matter. So, no. I was not going into work today.

Instead… I slept. Figure this… last night, I was asleep by 2am. Woke up at 8 am. Went back to sleep. Woke up again at 2 pm. At around 4 pm, I fell back asleep and was out until 8. Either I really needed the sleep or something else is going on.

Tomorrow is an EARLY morning dermatology appointment in desperate hopes of figuring out why I’ve been increasingly more itchy. Probably going to stop by work because… honestly… this many days without me… I am worried about what Pedro has been doing with the paperwork.
