Hi New People! I'm the guy who made this site. in Site Updates

Wow, lots of new people popping up in my little town. Welcome!

First of all, you may want to bookmark me because I've got some good books for site users: this book (Site Updates), Tips and Tricks, and the Suggestion Box. Remember Tom from Myspace who was everyone's friend? I guess that's me. Good news is that it will be possible to bookmark me for the site-specific stuff but exclude my more personal stuff if you choose to (a future feature).

As I've already told the pioneers (the really early adopters who got the ball rolling), this is a beta site and very much a work in progress. I'm trying to add some new things every week.

Last year we bought a new home. I remember my real estate agent telling us that we wouldn't find 100% of the features that we wanted. But if we found 90% of the features we wanted, we've found a home that's a really good fit. Nobody likes everything and it's simply impossible to cater to everyone; home builders try to hit that sweet spot and add features that most people like.

I'm approaching Prosebox the same way. It's kind of odd, seeing all these new people showing up I don't know. I know that a lot of people are going to have preconceptions based on that other site. I've seen a few comments already like "this book thing is weird" and "I don't really get this site" and "that guy in charge has a funny odor". Well, nobody has mentioned that last one... yet.

So I know not everyone will fall in love with it, but I think there's already a few 90%-ers that have embraced it. And remember, better stuff is on the way!
