Almost in the 3rd trimester... in Life as a Mom of 2 boys.....and a girl!!

So I am 25.5 weeks pregnant now and the pregnancy is going well. I’m not having any horrible symptoms lately which is nice. The baby kicks a lot now and rolls around in there which can be uncomfortable or a lot when I am trying to fall asleep or something but the kicks aren’t too hard yet so it’s no big deal. The crappy part is that I have gained around 30lbs already. With about 13.5 weeks to go! That sucks. I gained 50lbs with both boys so I am really hoping not to go over that amount since I know it will be tough to lose it. On the plus side, it’s cool that the baby will be born in the spring because she will likely be born around April 10th so by mid May I will be fully healed and able to start working on getting the extra weight off. I tend to find it a lot easier to be active in the spring/summer so hopefully by the time it gets cold in October I will have lost a decent chunk of my pregnancy weight.

I can’t believe I still have 3 months until the baby is born. I would prefer to only have 1 month left. We still have some things to buy like a dresser, a double stroller and little things like soothers and wash cloths but I still have a lot of stuff from the boys and most of the baby clothes I will need. I bought a used double stroller in the spring of 2014 for $150 and it’s not the greatest but I have used it a ton since then. It’s a side by side of a mediocre brand and isn’t the smoothest to push and my husband always complains about it. He says we definitely need a new double stroller for Miles and this baby since it’s falling apart. He’s like let’s get a good one this time! He doesn’t get that if he wants us to get a brand new double of a quality brand that could mean spending like $750! I researched them recently and should be able to get a good one used for $200-300.

I also wouldn’t mind a electric medela breast pump instead of the cheap one I had last time but they’re like $350 new. That’s crazy! But so many people recommended this kind to me that I am going to buy one for around $100 off eBay I think. I have only ever had one electric pump which was a cheap brand my parents bought for me at Walmart. It was ok but not wonderful. So our big purchases will be a dresser, a double stroller and a pump, which isn’t too bad but it seems like a lot when we are still recovering from spending too much at Christmas. My cousin is giving me her baby swing which is nice since ours broke when Miles was a baby.

I recently decided to clean out all the upstairs closets because some of them are really messy and I know if I don’t do it before the baby is born I may not get to it for years. I am about 3/4 done and don’t really want to finish but I will force myself to soon. Other than that, I haven’t been up to too much lately besides the regular. I have been reading a bunch and knitted a couple things for the baby which I will post pictures of on here soon. I’m enjoying not working for sure lol.
