It’s the waiting ….. in The odd entries from life …….

This morning is brighter and a nicer start of the day, the air felt crisp on my skin as it should in December, it the first time in day’s I’ve seen our patio drying; note the ‘drying’ Our side of the valley is in shadow and we will see the sun just as it sets this afternoon, Saturday is our shortest day of the year; from then on the sun will crawl back until after a few weeks in the new year sun light will return to our patio.

I’m thankful I don’t have ‘sad’ across the valley the sun is shining, I see it as part tease and also a promise; the sun will return. Nearly five days since OD went down, you can’t but wonder if it will return; those thoughts a driven by the total absence of news! But I’m also quite sure there are people working to get the site up and running; I hope!

Now I’m off, I have cards and family calendars to post, Christmas Eve is just a week away, I have still to get our decorations out of store, then there will be the reaching and stretching to get the tree assembled, also the hope the lights wink on first time; other wise there is the search for that one dud bulb – and untangle Lola from the yards of lighted flex ……
