Post- Christmas time funnies in blackpropaganda

It’s over for another year. We had a fairly low level Christmas Day - we both had two presents to open - one of mine was a joint one. Then just relaxing until going down the road to share a Christmas meal with neighbours - a glass of two of Prosecco, the Queen’s Speech - and then on to the excellent meal, washed down with a couple of glasses of Amarone. SW… always provides a Christmas pudding - this one was nearly two years old - and excellent with white sauce and brandy butter. We dozed through the Strictly Christmas Special - and then walked home (60 yards) with all our bits and pieces of pans etc. The rest of the evening in front of the tv - not Downton Abbey - until thinking it must be time for bed.

Today, we reciprocate - it is SW..’s birthday and so she has had her cards and presents, which I have to separate out from the general Christmas post - and we will eat at about 3 pm with our friends from down the road. Yesterday it was a turkey crown, today it is a ham with trimmings, and I have made a pepper sauce and I shall be roasting the vegetables. We have a nine year old Spanish wine to go with the food - and we shall be festive again!!!
