I want to write an entry. The problem is I have nothing to write about. Had a good day yesterday Chococlatechip’s sister came up. We went to Eat n Park and Wal Mart. Eat n Park was packed with people. l don’t like going into a restyuarant when it is filled with wall to wall people. But food was good. I had been hungry for a good hamburger. I order3ed a hamburger and fries Chocolatechip had a huge fish sandwich and a backed potato. Also had coffee I didn’t like the coffee because it wasn’t very hot but had three cups.

Elaine and Chocolatechip talked while we were at the restaurant. Elaine did most of the talking. They have another sister Cathleen. Elaine and Cathleen are not getting along. Elaine is upset with her sister because she wrote a book about her family. She was talking about how Cathleen is having a Christmas get together. Elaine really didn’t want to go but decided to attend anyway.

From there we went to Wal Mart. Wal Mart was packed with people. I walked around with Chocolatechip. She bought a few items. She bought some long johns and a couple cookie sheets. I bought a case of Sprite and a can of Maxwell House. I figured I better stock up on coffee. I can’t start my mornings without a cup of coffee.

From there we went to the Dollar store. I didn’t want to go in. My legs were starting to hu8rt. Elaine and Chocolatechip went in. They got a few items. Chocolatechip got some greeting cards Fromm the dollar store we went home. It was good to get out on Sunday but it was good to come home.

We all went to Chococlatechip’s apartment. They exchanged Christmas presents. Chocolatechip got lot of nice gifts. Elaine gave me a nice card with a ten dollar bill in it. She said she wanted me to have some fun with it. I said the money is much needed and is going towards laundry. I thanked her and said I really appreciated the gift.

11:39am Worker did not show up today. Bummer. I spent my time reading my book Plan of Attack by Bob Woodward. I was reading about an area in Northern Iraq controlled by Kurdish tribesmen. This was a semi autonomous regi0on separate from Bagdad. After the first Gull War in 1991 the Kurds rebelled against Sadam expecting help and protection from the U.S. It was not forthcoming and Sadam invaded the region slaughtering thousands . There was over million refugees that ended up in Turkey and Iran.

After 9/11 and Afghanistan Bush decided to invade Iraq to get rid of Sadam Hussein. Part of the war plans involved opposition groups within Iraq. Since the Kurds were the largest opposition groups Bush would need their help He wanted to tie up Iraqi divisions in the northern part while he invaded from the south. But the Kurds were reluctant because of past history. I remember reading that director of CIA talked to two important Kurdish leaders trying to convince them the U.S was serious this time and would support an uprising.

Before the invasion CIA teams were sent into the Kurdish area. It was a very dangerous mission. Part of their job was to recruit spies. Leader of the team was code named Tiom. The author was talking about how he had to pass out money for recruits and information They were looking for anything. But then when Turkey objected thinking a war was going to start they were yanked out. of the area. Good book.

I also bought two more books. One book was only $2.99. It was called Forgotten Alley by Rana Miller. Then I bought one of my all time favorite books called The Winds of War by Herman Wouk. This was for $9.99 This was a best seller way back in the 70s and I remember reading it . It is about an American family caught up in the events prior to America’s entry in WWII. I’m going to enjoy reading this book.

I wasn’t going to buy anymore books this month. I don’t know. Every once in ‘a while I get the urge to buy an ebook. When I get an idea in my head it is very hard for me not to resist. I need another book like I needa whole in the head. But for some reason I just had to have these two. Oh well, all my bills are paid. I have food to eat and money for laundry and meds They are only books and I probably wont be buying any for a while. It is always good to get stocked up on reading material.

Chocolatechip came up. She was passing out Christmas cards and came to my -placer. She sat down for a smoke and a cup of coffee. We were talking about her sister Elaine. Elaine bought a Smith and Wesson hand gun. At the restaurant she was saying that she lives in that big house by herself. She was talking about how she went through an FBI back ground check and Her friend tought her to shoot. and she is going to a shooting range. I said I can’t picture Elaine with a gun. Chocolatechip said that she would never want one. I said that I might if I lived alone by myself on someplace like Elm Street.

We were also talking about a new story from the morning news. Channel 9 was saying they found a dead body at Fernwood State Park. They do not suspect foul play. He might have just died or went out there to commit suicide. We were talking about that place and I said a lot of bad stuff has happened. I herd people on Facebook talk about it one time and they said it was creep and erie. Some said it was haunted. Chocolatechip was saying there was a nurse who was jogging out there and she disappeared. They never did find her but several years later they found her wallet in a mailbox in downtown Steubenville.

I was telling her I been up since 4:30 this morning. She said you don’t like to get up that early. I said that is right I don’t like to g et up when it is dark out. Said I drank a lot of coffee this morning and spent it reading my book. She said she was up at that time as well. She put away all her Christmas presents and cleaned up her apartment. Then she said she had to go and I went to her place for a while. I actually left my apartment today.
