Deadbeat in Will Fly For Food

Wow, how deadbeat have I been? It's like I dropped off the face of the planet.
Husband had his work Christmas party last night. It was at the Country Club in town. I had never been there. Probably will never be again. It was like everything else in Huron - they tried but seemed to give up halfway through and say, "Fuck it, it's just Huron."
What I mean by that is that it was kind of nice, but kind of shitty too. Like a split personality. I doubt they turned on the heat until about 2 hours before guests started arriving. They had a big nice stone fireplace - they even lit a fire before we arrived. Unfortunately it was amateur hour, since they forgot to open the chute so the smoke filled the room instead of going up the chimney. We had to spend social hour with our throats stinging and eyes watering, and not only that they opened the doors to try to vent it - when it was about 0F outside so it was frigid. The prime-rib served was mediocre at best, it was tough and chewy like a roast. The drinks all tasted funny - i think it was their ice. And the vanilla bean cheesecake for dessert tasted like either wax, or else it was terribly freezer-burned. It tasted like fridge. So bad.
We got out 3 hours after we went in, and Nate and I went home and enjoyed a lazy night. We wanted to see the new Hobbit movie but the last show started at 9PM and we didn't get home in time. We flipped through xbox video then Netflix looking for something to watch but as per usual didn't see anything that tickled our fancy. We are cheesy, so we turned on the Christmas Tree, turned on the Yule Log (yes, it's on Netflix lol) and cuddled up under the blankets on the couch and just spent some much-needed together time. Great night.
I've had some pretty great car problems lately, it's been extremely frustrating. A few days after my car gelled the heater randomly quit working. I figured out the next day it was only a fuse, replaced that, and it was back in business. Then a few more days after that when I was in Watertown to meet my brand new nephew, the damn thing wouldn't start again. WTF car! I don't know if it's just because it's so cold or what its fricken deal is. Not impressed. >=( It seems like it works OK to about zero degrees. Anything below that it is just like, "Fuck this, too cold!" I feel that way too, but unfortunately my employer doesn't agree.
Another awesome December road trip. Why does this always happen?
Anyway, not to get distracted. N and I got a nephew on 12/10. Lincoln Gregory. I kind of barfed at the name at first, now there is a Lorelai and a Lincoln. Maybe it will grow on me. I know it's none of my beeswax anyway, so NBD. I drove to Watertown after I got off work. Sister had a c-section again so she will have limited mobility and stuff for a while.
So uh, yeah, that happened. Sorry if I sucked at pictures, don't really have the time or energy to mess around with it much tonight. Maybe re-attack it tomorrow. Miss you guys, sorry I've been such a deadbeat. <3 Sarah

I know a girl that named her first son Abraham and wanted to name the second one Lincoln. I was like, wtf. Thankfully, number 2 is a girl... though I'm scared of what that name will be....
