so on our 4th day which was.Tues. we........well i couldn’t figure out how the trash can in our flat worked. our kitchen rather. Well i got it to work after asking my mom. it’s one of those auto ones but you push your finger in the dent thing and then it lifts up and stays up and then you close it and. in order to get it to close you push your finger in the dent.thing again i think. My mom has an auto trash can in her kitchen but when it opens it makes this horrendous scraping sound which i hate. ugh just no.
So after we got ready we went and looked at window displays which i’ve already written er blogged about. The mice one was at Liberty we liked that. oh and in the window of a shop right by Liberty they were selling food and there was this big octopus splayed out. whoa. After which. we went to an Italian place and had lunch or w/e it was. i got pasta the plate was 2 ft. in diameter. it was so big. and i ate all of it. The place was nice quiet slow service. Then on to Fortnum’s window displays. Their symbol is the owl and they’re famous for their hampers. apparently. And you can make your own which i think is pretty cool. um. what they call ‘hampers’ i call baskets.
Then we. went into Liberty for a bit and then outside to see ‘the mousetrap’. On the way they there we happened upon a giant plaque bust thing of Agatha Christie which had been put up in 2011 and then we happened upon some street musicians so that was cool. again ‘the mousetrap’ is a great show. and then we went back to our flat and that was our day.
on our 5th day which would’ve been Wed. we went back to regent st. we passed under triangle blue archways. like they were archways but they ended in a point so they made a triangle shape. i liked them. ok so they were triangle-ways as it were. on our way to.somewhere Selfridge’s according to my photos. anyway on our way there this guy hands us rectangular packets that at first i thought were condoms and i’m like that’s a little weird but ok. no turns out they were these collagen things. and he’s talking to me and he’s like oh you don’t need it you look so young and you have such pretty skin you’re what 20? no but thank you wow. and even if i was i still would’ve been old enough to legally drink in that counrty. so then he takes us to his shop place and puts the collagen on my mom who.never does things like that. like she doesn’t wear makeup she doesn’t get her nails done or anything. she’s a practical person and it’s just not her thing. he was so excited about it. he was half isralean or however you’d say that and half australian. he was the friendliest person we’d talked to. he was so charming. so it was an experience.
so then after that experience we saw the selfridge’s window displays which were v. cool the astrological ones.they were missing a few. i found leo aquarius gemini pisces aries. oh and they have a little [well it was medium size to big] food place there we went into. and they had an ad for personalising your own nutella. god nutella’s amazing. i never eat it though. but omygod it’s amazing. i have had it btw.yeah you know by selfridge’s there seemed to be a lack of cops. oh and right when we want to ask directions too. awesome.
