Our Methodist Church in Grampound Road is like many church’s in small villages, falling numbers of people coming to services, so I feel lucky twice that the people there a so welcoming and that the Church is still here to still welcome me!

As you will notice it isn’t is over dressed, but there is enough to cover the both sides of Christmas, the younger children liked it; even a 64 year old child!

The Advent candles that have been lit have burnt down the same showing the even burning.

I’m pleased to see a tree and window decorating, with us not having the commercial side of Christmas, I can and will enjoy the original joy that has long a go replaced Yule Festivity. For many years I kept a sort of Yule log, a dressed up chocolate Swiss roll and covered in chocolate so it looks like a tree log with branches cut short and icing sugar sieved over to give the log a wintery look.

After being in Grampound Road just over three months ever time I do into Truro some one see’s me, in a way I feel as if I not alone when I’m out.

Note. I didn’t take any photographs on
Sunday, with families and young children there I decided not to make any images; some people can get very odd if the see a camera!
