Good news and more good news. The title to the pickup arrived in the mail yesterday. A relative that works at the health department is going to get me a copy of Fred’s death certificate, as I still can’t find copies here. AND my mortgage company is lowering the interest rate on my home loan by a whole point. Blessings are just stacking up and I feel even more secure about retiring, if that is possible. It is and it is a wonderful feeling!!!
Went to Owen’s basketball games yesterday morning and those 2d graders play hard and make moves on the court that reflect an excellent coach!! After the games we went back to the shop and A cut my hair. I hate the afterwards look but it will train. After the cut was done I went to the grocery store and picked up some things needed and then came home to fix some lunch. After my sandwich I took a nap. Had to take my RLS meds to accomplish, but needed the nap this time.
After the nap I really didn’t get much done. Kinda piddled around and J and I talked about Christmas. He is SO excited and since I put all the presents that I had wrapped early in the morning under the tree, it made his anticipation multiply. I may remove the presents from under the tree if it is just too much for him. lol
I still have a couple of presents for the oldest grand daughter to wrap and IF I am successful I will make hot pads for each of my employees to go with their other gift. I need to see if I have gift bags to use for their gifts. So far, I haven’t used any gift bags and that hasn’t happened in several years. I have the wrapping paper and I have boxes, so just seemed like a no-brainer yesterday morning when I started the wrapping.
The big dog, Polka Dot, has to be tied up for the next few weeks as the neighbor on the hill about a mile from us has a female in season. A saw him up at that house Fri morning on her way to work so she brought him home and tied him up. I moved him to another location when I got home that evening and he got loose last night so she put him in her back room. I’ll have to tighten his collar and tie him up again. I hate doing that to him, however, dog fights over a female turn out bad for one of them. I would like to get a chain link pen for him for these occasions and hopefully that will happen in the next few months. Now that the pickup is gone, I know where I would put it.
I am going to head to the sewing room and work on the hot pads for my employees. I need to give them their presents next Thursday so my time is limited and sometimes it takes me longer than it should to pick out coordinating fabrics. *sigh
It is in the 60s this morning with some rain and for December that is amazing. The temperatures are supposed to be dropping but don’t think too low. Flash flood warnings are out again so one never knows if the rain will dump or spread over over a couple of days. If it spreads out, then we shouldn’t have any flooding. If it dumps, then we will.
Take care and God Bless
