Christmas is arriving tonight next door, they are lovely people we were asked to round to them on bonfire night, they are party people while I’m the one on the edge with a glass in hand; or I used to be! It is quiet in my room now as I am having a rich tea biscuit, I have two thirds and Lola the other third.

Now the biscuit’s have run out Lola has retuned to her orange noisy ball with two eyes, and my rate of typing goes down again …..

I shall be going next door on my own, my two will be working, I hope talking is easer this time as when they have fireworks they have fireworks. I wonder if they have musical lights on their tree, such ‘music’ through advent would drive me up the wall; but each to there own. It quite nice to have people around who talk, Perrancoombe was lace curtains country!

My Doctor will be pleased when he phones me next week, I took a walk up the steep side of Grampound Road, and when walking it doesn’t seen so steep; Lola trotted up like a three year old - I like a 64 old! Beyond the top the ‘B’ road runs down to the back road to At Austell, it is narrow and curving with out footpaths; not a good road to walk a dog or be the walker of the dog. After a careful look at the road disappearing down and out of sight, we turned round and headed for home.

Tonight I went next door, knocking of the front door dose nothing so I have to open the door and go in calling ‘hollow’ as I’ve said they are wonderful people, they hardly now me yet I’m asked to come round from over the fence, I was given a huge glass of white wine that lasted the two hours I was there, there plenty of food for every one who comes and then I’m sent home with a plate of food for us; open hearted and open doored!

As for the Christmas lights, it was a children’s delight .....
