Holiday Hiatus. in Whey and Sonic Screwdrivers.

As was at my dad’s girlfriend’s, and she happened to have christmas music on. Man, is it depressing when you’re not in the mood. Especially after years in retail, it’s an odd association to hear the stuff without your consent.

For the past seven years, I’ve gotten a little minitree and decorated it. It started when I began dating Candi and had someone to share all the fun with. I’ve tried still giving it a token gesture the past two years, but I think it’s time to let it go. At least for this year. Not to be grinchy, but just let it all pass without much thought.

Guess there isn’t much else to say. Trees and decorations and presents isn’t really something for the single and sad. Maybe I’ll get lucky and do something completely different this year. Maybe treat myself or otherwise do something other than mope around. That would be pretty sweet.
