They playground ones. Should put this part in the Dreams and Nightmares book but, eh. The dreams where I’m on a playground from one of the many grade schools I attended. May have had one last night…can’t really recall.
Last night wast he weekly movie night. Empire Strikes Back seeing how we’ve been working our way through the six Star Wars films in anticipation of the new one. Before any of the movies are watched there is usually an hour of waiting for everyone to get there and talk with whom is there. Usually everyone is having a beer or two while others are having a cocktail. I’m either drinking a water or a frozen Coke from the gas station. Normally I can turn a blind eye and it doesn’t bother me. Not quite sure if it is because while John was talking to me about a girl that’s been wanting to get him to hang out with her or Robbie talking about going out tomorrow (tonight) but I told John to invite that girl out. Suddenly it became a thing. Robbie would wait for his girl to get off and be there about eight. It became a, “thing.” I felt somewhat left out.
It wasn’t me being odd man out because of no female but yes, because being a non drinker. I wasn’t thinking of my friends or their prospective spouses, I was thinking of the new local stuff they have on tap at the new upscale liquor store/bar. My mouth watered some and I had to steer away from the conversation. Even when they put the DVD on I was thinking I could sneak some of the vodka on the counter into my frozen beverage. Luckily I got a call a few minutes, albeit short and nothing important, I used it as an excuse to leave and get back home.
Tonight I’m staying in and gaming.
