I had a good day yesterday. It didn’t start out good. I woke up and started to think about all the Thanksgiving dinners I had when I was littler. I remember how my mom always cooked a bi spread for the family,. Then my sister her husband and her two kids would come for Thanksgiving dinner. Sometimes my brother his wife Sandy and his five kids would be there as well. We had a bunch of people. In the morning we would watch the parades on tv and in the afternoon football games. Then we would have supper after everybody came. We all got along back then and I never remember any fights, Those were good times. Thinking about this made me kind of said.

In the morning I watched the Macy’s Day parade but just couldn’t get into it. Besides thinking about my parents on T day I did a lot of reading., I am reading a good book by Stephen King Bazaar of Bad Dreams. I remember reading this one story called the Bad Little Kid. That was good and scarry. Then I got together with my fiancé.

She came up to my apartment. We talked for a whle then she got on the computer. She went to Facebook and ended up chatting with one of her grandons. She said that made her Thanksgiving. I was thinking the expense of paying fort this computer and the Internet is well worth it. It made my day that she could talk with her grand kids on it.

Every year Weirton has a free community day dinner on Thanksgiving. I go every year. This time the Salvation Army was providing transportation. Instead of walking down fiancé called them and made arrangements for them to pick us up outside. The bus came around 11:55. It took us down there to the Senior Center. We ran into a few people from Overbrook Towers. Then a friend of ours and her boyfriend sat with us,. Michelle and my fiancé talked and ate a free turkey dinner. We stayed down there until about 1 and then the Salvation Army bus pulled up,. We were ready to go home.

I said afterwards that I felt very comfortable with all those people. I didn’t feel nervous or anxious down there., Fiancé said she felt the same. I said that it was nice we sat with Michelle and her friend. She asked if I heard Michelle. I said I couldn’t hear a word she said. I heard a lot of background noise from people talking but I could not hear Michelle. I said I thought that my hearing aid battery is about to go out.

We spent the afternoon reading and watching tv. We watched a good episode of Dr. Phil. Then Anne got tired and she went home early at 4. I turned off the tv and read my book. I read a couple more stories in Bazaar of Bad Dreams. I remember reading this one story called Ur. It was about an English Lit professor who bought a Kindle. The Kindle wasn’t an ordinary Kindle. It was a portal to a different workl. One of its functions enabled the user to download the local paper. The paper was able to predict the future,. It was a good story and I hated to finish it.

I finished my reading for the night around eight. I watched a good John Wayne and William Holden movie called the Horse Soldiers Think that was one of the best he ever made. I saw it about a million times but it is always nice to see it again,

I went to bed late because of the movie and slept in,. I wasn’t having a good morning. My hips and knees hurt. But I managed to make coffee. Started reading another story but I just wasn’t into it today. Arthritis was acting up really bad,. But I am ok now
