It seems our weather is going to wards something’s like November in November, cool damp and overcast a mix that doesn’t suit my chest, if I’m going to be ill this is the time of year; this had one little boy in bed in the run-up to Christmas s few times!

Lola has joined me up here, she is now sitting under my chair – brave little dog! When she pushed her way in she was in of her odd moods, she walked in making charges lake challenging, it amuses me when it makes Ziggy think ‘she’s off again’

Our late night DVD now is ‘Band of Brothers’ the story of ‘Easy’ Company, a American Parachute Infantry Regiment. I think this is the best television series I’ve ever seen from an American channel; if I see a production by HBO I know it will be worth watching.

There was a surprise on the 14 of November, last Saturday a small space rock passed over the Pacific Ocean at 39,000 miles per hour, and pass over at 21,000 miles high at it nearest approach; it was first seen hours before! The Earth was double times lucky, it missed by 21,000 miles and it was small, 10 to 30 feet in size or if you prefer 3 to 9 meters.

This was a very small asteroid, and if it had entered our atmosphere, most of it would if it had entered our atmosphere, most of it would have been burnt up due to air friction; but it would have been quite a sight in the sky. Events like this reminds us that there are lots of rocks up there, most will never come close to Earth; the ones that come our way are like all the others, small and up to very large; Astronomy has it’s uses!
