Day 12: What are some traits and looks that you inherited from your mom?
Oh My Mom. I miss her so very much. She taught me patience and to look at both sides of a situation before making a decision. That was applied to me and others around me. She was kind and I hope that I’m kind. She always tried to find the good things in people and unless they were just cruel or mean she still was respectful. She wouldn’t get into a word war. If someone (like my ex-sil and her mother) were spreading lies that mom was mean and hateful which she never way, although I’m sure she would have liked to have been on many occasions, mom would shower them with compliments and sweetness. She told me that the best way to “fight back” against “those” type of persons, was to lay it on thick when around people she knew that the negative comments had been said to. It was hard for anyone to believe when mom was so extra extra sweet and helpful. Mom was smart. She was over military pay for several years before she finally retired. A perfectionist, which at times made it extremely hard to be her kid. I try very hard to not carry that over with my own, as the perfectionist always came across as “never good enough”. I understand she just wanted us to do our very best. And when you felt you had, but was told to do better, it was hard. I inherited mom’s looks in a certain aspects. Others not as much. I favor her in physical ways as we and her mother were blessed with big hips. Oh joy.

Day 13: What is something you love to be gifted? I’m easy to please. When it’s from the heart, I love it.
