She’s a disingenuous power monger. Oh, that didn’t take so long.

It’s weird, I absolutely love Bill. The very same reasons Republicans hate Slick Willy is why I adore him. When GOP tried to take Bill down in the late 90’s, I couldn’t help but feel “this has what to do with politics?” It was a transparent personal attack and was just another example of how Republicans suck. Hilldawg gets some props for enduring eleven hours of Republican bullshit and not once cracking. (Meanwhile, those poor Republicans can’t endure a three hour debate or “hard questions” without whining. Oh, poor babies.)

(When was Dubya and Cheney’s inquisition? Oh right, like that’ll ever happen.)

I know the moment she rubbed me the wrong way. Way back in 2000 when she ran for Senate in NY. It was so transparent that she was going to run for President. It’s not that ambition is a bad thing, but I just don’t sense anything genuine out of her. It’s one thing to evolve your opinions and point of view. It’s another to only do it when it’s convenient. Maybe she appeals to moderates because she only supported gay marriage when it became convenient, I don’t know. (Just as an example.) Or that she admitted voting for the war in Iraq was a mistake.

Trust is a hard thing to come by. The very reasons I love Obama are probably the reasons Republicans hate him. He’s an intellectual, and I adore listening to him speak. Where Dubya has TWO BOOKS of gaffes or just confusing speech pattern, you could easily make a book out of Obama’s eloquant speech or his zingers. This isn’t a guy that’s constantly confused. Trust is when he does something I don’t agree with, but I give him the benefit of the doubt that there’s something we don’t know about. You know, as opposed to poor Colin Powell blatantly lying to the U.N.

I don’t think Hilldawg would make a bad president. It reminds me of 2004. I was totally in the Howard Dean camp and was annoyed that The Scream somehow hurt his campaign. With the current Republican circus, it seems like a really odd thing to deflate a campaign. When Kerry became the nominee, who could forget johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com? And look what happened. This fucking stupid nation voting Dubya to a second term. Even if the election was rigged in some way, it has to be close enough where they can pull it off.

That is, voting Republican or just not voting at all is fucking retarded. I’m not saying all Republicans are bad. Circa 2000 John McCain was a good man. Then he went to the right in 2008 to win the base. Heck, I might have voted for him if it was him versus Hillary. I don’t always agree with him, but he’s a good man. Like I said, trust is hard to generate.

I have a friend who is a Hillary supporter, and that’s fine. What’s confusing is that she’s said if it’s Trump vs Sanders, she’ll vote for Trump. I have to really hold back from cocking my head to the side and saying “Did you take your stupid pills today?” I’m not stupid enough to not support Hilldawg if she’s the nominee. Check this shit out from isidewith.com:

99% for Bernie. Fucking 99%. Hilldawg coming in at 92% ain’t too shabby. I’d be stupid not to support Hilldawg, even if she’s this election cycle’s John Kerry.

I comfort myself the thought of Slick Willy back in the Oral Office. I know he won’t actually do anything, but he’s still a fantastic speaker and I adore the thought of the far right vomiting in their cheerios. As an aside, the 22nd Amendment is misguided. I think Presidents should be limited to two consecutive terms, but can run again after four years. Imagine the worst happens and we get Trump as President. Don’t you think we’d all clammor to get Obama back? He’s young enough.

Sigh. Bernie’s chances in the general election are underrated. There’s a dedicated bloc of people who wouldn’t vote for Hilldawg or otherwise hate her. I don’t hate her. Just annoyed with her.

Anyway, tl;dr: Hilldawg is a douchebag, but I’d vote for her anyway in the general election.
