The summer of 2015 I nearly ignored, if I was out with a camera I was with my daughter and one of the dogs, then I took a walk while the others we busy with agility. Where I parked was usual quiet and a few cars were parked, to I walked with my face focused on the ground or the hedges. I haven’t walked much round Grampound Road yet, partly the weather in resent days, and when we had the Indian summer I was in the wrong state of mind, I suppose I have walked the level end of the village.
The part I haven’t walked is the stiff walking up hill part, the car went up there ok, and one day soon I shall take it on, and looking forward to the walk down; I have a thought it could by best if I went late in the afternoon. I find you are better with the landscape once you feel a part of it; also there are no swans and cygnets here to push me out!
I’m creating a small album of the six years we were there in Perrancoombe, to find the images for the album I have been though the six years of photography to sort the images I want; expense will slow my speed but that will give thought time. If I have a project I let it rattle round head for a while, then one day it comes together and after then my hands tale over.
This group of photographs were made on the eighteen of August when I was some where else in my head.
I’m seeing the summer a little late ....
