Close to death...... in blackpropaganda

No jokes today. I was driving to the venue for today’s walk along a straight piece of road - a car travelling behind me - when ahead I saw a car on my side of the road overtaking another car - and not at all certain whether he would get by before I reached him. I slowed as best I could and then estimated he could just about do it - he did - I was just a second from death. He would have taken me out, the car behind and the car he was overtaking. As he went past I flashed lights and hooted - but of course did not get his number.

It’s odd how you feel after such an experience - relief - the an awareness of might have been - then a coldness and trying to replay the maybe less than ten seconds when it was happening.

So, I am still here - just considering how safe you might drive there is always an idiot out there. And the times I have been an idiot too - and got away with it.

The walk was good, on forest paths with autumn leaves underfoot. I walked alone - I did not feel like talking to anyone. I got it out of my system. Well, some of it.

And, our neighbours across the street have had a little girl to go with their older
son - hey, a perfect family. Life goes on.

Oh, and Carol Kirkwood, whose smile and tits have been the best feature of her dancing on Strictly has been voted off. I suspect she was relieved not to be an embarrassment for another week. Maybe the men who watch breakfast tv in their dressing gowns while she does the weather could not transfer their mobile to their other hand to vote for her.
