November 7 & 8. in 2015

This has been SUCH a nice weekend. On Friday night, Aaron’s sister brought dinner over for us and we had a really nice time catching up. She entertained Joaquin while I ‘entertained’ Aurion and then we all settled in for Joaquin’s nightly routine of popcorn, milk and an episode of “Scooby Doo” (he is so obsessed!) I enjoyed a glass of wine.

Sleep was OK on Friday night, and Saturday morning was relatively chill because Presli fed and entertained Joaquin from 7:30a - 8:30a while Aaron and I snuck in an extra hour of sleep. Aaron took Joaquin to gymnastics, and then to the gym, and when they got home I made Joaquin some lunch and hung out with him while Aaron hung out with Aurion. Aaron’s mom came over a bit later and picked up Joaquin, and the plan is that he will stay with her until tonight, or potentially tomorrow morning.

After Joaquin left, Aaron, Presli and I went on a nice long walk and grabbed some coffee & cold-pressed juice at the cute little coffee shop down the way. We came home and binge-watched the remaining episodes of The Leftovers while we waited for Aaron’s sister and her fiancé to come over. They brought us dinner AGAIN (so spoiled to have healthy delicious meals two nights in a row!) and hung out while Aurion napped almost the entire time.

She’s such a sweet, easy-going baby :)

It was so weird not having Joaquin around last night; I missed him, but took full advantage of the ‘quiet’ time.

Sleep was OK again last night (not amazing, but not terrible) and I went on a nice solo walk with Aurion this morning to the coffee shop and repeated my order from yesterday (Vanilla Bourbon Latte + a cold-pressed ‘green’ juice). It was a gorgeous morning and Aurion alternated between quiet alertness and napping during our walk, and she was just lovely.

My brother & sister-in-law came over shortly after I got back from my walk and Aaron returned from his run, and they brought their 2 yo, Atticus to meet Aurion. It was a nice little visit and Atticus is just a sweetheart. They just left, and Aaron headed to the gym to finish his workout and drop the dog off for a bath, so I’m taking some quiet time to myself while Aurion naps on me.

Tonight we are getting massages, and if Joaquin stays another night at his “Gigi’s” house, I might even get to watch The Walking Dead tonight, which would be amazing. And there may even be a glass of wine involved. Because. Sunday Funday.
