Just a couple quotes from the book that have caught my eye; ideas I was to peruse, but just not right now.
“Spiritual realization is to see clearly what I perceive, experience, think, or feel is ultimately not who I am, that I cannot find myself in all those things that continuously pass away.”
“What remains is the light of consciousness in which perceptions, experiences, thoughts, and feelings come and go.”
“Can I sense my essential Beingness, the I Am, in the background of my life at all times? … can I sense the I Am that I Am at this moment?”
This came to mind at 6 am when I was woken by Dios with that same conversation, the one he voices but I only think… Are we really connecting in a meaningful way? Without the sex, what is the reason we are together? He likened it to fitting an octagonal peg I a round hole, there are many places that connect, but a lot of gaps too.
At the start I kept thinking, my hurt is not who I am, especially since I have these same unvoiced (well, now-voiced) thoughts about us. But it’s hard to separate Self from emotions, not take things personally.
Though we have had this conversation, our plans for an overnighter in Bend and thanksgiving are still in place. It seems weird, like are we just waiting for things to fall apart or trying to make something work when it shouldn’t?
