Day Six: What do you consider to be your biggest character flaws? in NojoMo

I guess I have a tendency to be intolerant of other peoples character flaws if they are different from mine. I know I get impatient and critical with my hubby who has ADD and who is very disorganised, forgets things and doesn’t plan ahead. It’s hard for me because my father was excessively organised, almost OCD. He used to keep his records in alphabetical order and clean them before and after he played them. I am like him but not quite so extreme. Hubby is the opposite. He puts CDs away in the wrong case and regularly loses them altogether. It drives me mad.

I also find Hubby’s memory problems difficult. I do understand that he has difficulty remembering things but I don’t understand why he can’t write things down that he needs to remember. He says he would lose the piece of paper he wrote in on but surely he could pin it to the notice board. He has improved in the last few years but it has taken years of nagging. And that is the other thing. I am not naturally a person who nags and he has turned me into one by only responding when I keep on at him. I do wish I could have a little more patience with him but I am not sure how that would work.
