Winter in Talk Story

Aloha…
No… I realize it’s not quite winter… but with the change in day light savings time it is beginning to feel like it… that and the temperature has been dropping…

The flat roof over my outside entranceway developed a leak… a bit expensive to repair… but the roofing company has made good on their warranty… so my cost is around $250.00 for a private contractor to find the leak/discover the damage before I called the roofing company…
The repairs should be finished later today… a good thing as more rain is one the way this weekend…
My life is quiet… doing my best to keep busy and active… though more and more I have surrendered to the quiet times…
I spend more time reading… don’t watch much t/v anymore… and with the cooler weather… don’t spend as much time working (playing) in the yard…
I belong to several groups (of friends) that get together in the evenings… to play cards or dominoes… which certainly fills a need of mine for socialization…
I’m headed into town… errands and lunch… go by the bank… the library… restock the larder at Fred Meyer…
Perhaps when I return home… if it’s not too cold… a walk down to the beach might me in order…
