Pneumonia in My this and that

Today I am thankful I have pneumonia. I KNOW I KNOW, that sounds very weird.

But see, I have a lung condition. Over the past while (over a month) I’ve been short of breath, especially when doing any physical activity. A normal healthy person can walk and have a conversation without huffing and puffing; but I was no longer able to do that. So, realizing there must be a problem I went to the doctor.

She ordered me to go for xrays, and to come see her a month later, so I set up that appointment with her. A week later, I finally remembered I needed to go to the xray lab and have that done. So I did that, and the next day I got a call from my doctors office and they said “Ya, the doctor would really like to see you tomorrow.” So, that’s a bit concerning. Obviously there IS something wrong with me.

So I went in this morning, and it’s just pneumonia. It’s not like my lungs are shutting down, it’s not anything that can’t be fixed with antibiotics. I’m pretty pleased with this. This is fixable, and it’s easy to fix, and I should be fine in no time.

If you’re going to have pneumonia, I’d say this is the best way to do it. I have no fever, I’m not coughing a lot… it’s just that I’m short of breath, and it showed up on my xrays. Glad I went to the doctor!

Also, you know when you’re given a new task at work and you really have no clue how to do it, but then you figure out and it feels like a big victory. That just happened to me today. AWESOME!

ANNNNNNND my mother-in-law is taking us out for pizza today.

Could this day get any better?!
