We had a really problem with our pipes, I had just run hot and cold water for the washing the cops and plaits, as I closed off the cold water the pipes began screaming, I had my hand on the tap and I could feel vibrations coming down the pipes. The noise carried on for some time, then it went quiet and we hopped that was it!
It was just after midnight when I went up to bed, as soon as I turned the tap the screaming began all over again, I turned the cold tap on and the screaming died away, the air in the pipes must have found away out and I felt much better; and I expect also the people next door!
This morning my Daughter said on the local radio news that Grampound Village had no water lastnight; I expect the air come up the pipes from there!
I needed to go into Truro this morning, the Doctor at Perranporth had sent me a prescription in the post, to get my medication now I have to go St Austell or Truro, so I chose Truro as I know my way there.
Walking though Truro I could hear the pipes again, some would call these pipes something of a noise, but if those pipes are in the right hands, where ever I was in the middle of the city I could hear the Bagpipes some where along way from its home, it was only when I walked across Lemon Quay I saw a young man plying the Bagpipes quite well, or at least better than a man in kilt I saw in the highlands.
I seem to be confronted by Bagpipes in odd places, on holiday on Anglesey [in Wales] there was a large home on the sea’s edge where often has a piper playing at the end of day!
