Swirl With Me (Audio File)
And sometimes the inspiration comes from not the urge to write, but the need to do so and feel so alive…
“Swirl With Me”
Swirl with me, darling.
Won’t you dance to me when I head toward the floor?
There are sparkling lights tonight, and within the gallows of mistakes, I feel them burning it all to the ground.
Fire is as cleansing as water, both can be so destructive and in different ways necessary for life to swirl on.
Cauterize those sad eyes, and look away when the moment turns heavy, and the mood sinks so lengthy when he – when he failed to be to you all that for him you were. Still are.
So swirl with me, darling.
Won’t you dance with me when I am smiling at you and swaying on the floor.
Think of all the pain you have shed, and when you pirouette, allow yourself to forget that gloom and let it all fall to the floor.
There are surging waves tonight, and within the swells of regret, I feel them washing them all into nevermore.
Water is as cleansing as fire, both can be so destructive, and in different ways necessary for life to swirl on.
Rinse those broken promises, and look within yourself when the moment turns weighty, and the mood sinks so gravely when he – when he failed to be to you all that for him you were.
And still are.
Swirl with me, darling.
Let us dance the night away, light this place ablaze with the every dip and sway of your sultry hips, your star-kissed lips, and that soul-stealing smile that when you flash it seems to wash away any heartache I have ever known.
I look into your pensive eyes.
I see beyond the color of your sky.
And I just want to swirl.
With you.

Video Entry one entry back! It’s long, but some people found it amusing. Enjoy if that’s your thing. The audio recording is about 10 minutes long and contains a bunch of anecdotal stories about New Orleans, my sports teams, my friends, and such.
Favorite current song: ”Cecilia and the Satellite” by Andrew McMahon
Now, go get into some mischief you crazy kids. :)
May you always find your smile.
