…busy weekends that is…

Friday, me, the boy and his lady friend went to the mall. Hung out there till the mall shut down. Went to Steak N Shake and then went to a Walmart to look for a wig for my son’s anime look. They were going to a comic con of sorts in Collinsville, IL..

Before that, when I said I need to get better at telling people no, my baby brother and my daughter. He called me that afternoon saying he was out on the street and he needed a few dollars to help get him by. So I kicked him down $45. I asked him what happened to him staying with daddy. I was in the room when he asked dad if he could come home. When I talked to dad yesterday, he said that he told him no because he stole from him. I understand that fully. But I’m guessing that he is doing his usual hustling people for money. He looks well, and is looking for a job, but his dredlocks are a bit unkempt. I hope he finds work soon. I hope he gets in a place where he is able to take care of his children.

My daughter hit me up because she didn’t have any food in the house. My grandbaby busted her out saying “My momma not working no more.” She got mad and said it was because he wasn’t in daycare/preschool, whatever. Either way it goes, that’s her fault too. She won’t get off her ass to see about the place right around the corner from her house. She had trouble paying the daycare he was in and of course put it on other people. My thing in life is that I learned to just do everything myself that way no one will have the chance to let me down. I know somethings can’t go off without another’s help, but if one thing doesn’t pan out, I keep it moving. I’m a fixer.

Saturday found me up like I had to be at work and I only had like 3.5 hours of sleep for real. The boy was supposed to be over the girlfriends house allegedly at 6:30 then she said the comic thing wasn’t that day. I looked online, no it was that day. I refused to have been awake for nothing. I dropped him off. Came back home changed my clothes and sat on the couch looking crazy. Twisted the other side of my hair said to my daughter how about I just get you some food to last the week and bring it over? Apparently she just wanted to get out. So I picked up my friend M and then got her. They hugged each other when we got to my daughter’s place because they hadn’t seen each other in a long time. Being around my grandbaby made her want a grandbaby. LOL

After shopping, I took M to the Verizon store where my Tmobile jingle song rang through the air as my phone died. The clerk looked over my way and I didn’t do anything but giggle. Went to the shoe store to find something comfortable for my night with QuestLove. He DJ’d a Martell event at The Olive Bar Saturday night. I’d never been there. A friend said that was his spot when he comes to town. When I came in I see why. It was a nice place, but it was pretentious with way too many VIP areas. So I donned my son’s had a black shirt exposing all the clevage and slacks and a pearl necklace. I was alright…I danced, I sweated and I got envious as usual of all the people who don’t sweat and look like melting chocolate while doing so. LOL

I peeped up and saw him a few times with the trademark lopsided afro and pick sticking out. I didn’t get to get any pictures of him because my phone is being an asshole right now so it was off when I reached for it. It becomes a major deal to turn it back on. I need a new phone, but I’m not really feeling it. LOL So with that being said, it was a fun night.

This takes me to Sunday where I went and picked up grandson so we could go to church. He is a freaking little doll. Busy and mischievious, but a sweet boy. He was ready to love on everybody, he was also ready to go home like as soon as we got there. LOL He met all his cousins which seemed to be a lot of girls. ::smh:: Aunties loved him. He’d been trying to hug my one aunt all day. We went to see dad and dad and I had a talk. Yesterday was tribute service day. He was actually upset. Everyone kept coming and checking on him. He said they all knew that he had had up the here (motioning his throat) with AWL of them. He was saying he does way too much for everyone and someone must have set him off. The new church is big and therefore requires more money and someone must have grumbled about it. Yeah I made certain not to ask for ANYTHING today. LOL
He had some food that people make for him and we usually eat after church. Grandbaby didn’t want anything, but we went home and had pizza and popcorn.

Tonight, me and my son are going to go see a preview screening of Goosebumps. I’m so tired though. Got to go home, cook really quickly, then that’s it. Off to the movies.

And that’s pretty much it…
Be kind even though the world is not.

Kindest regards,
Sister
