Sunday morning and I’m not in Church, I thought they were better off with out me coughing and sneezing through the service; I expect to be there next week.

Looking out this morning it is plan to see the weather is on the change, it’s feels cooler and the sky is all clouds, the rain is forecast to start about teatime; so the dogs going out in the evening where well paw marks when they come in.

Before we left Perrancoombe my son gave his box set of the three films of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ It has fifteen Blu-ray discs running time of the films is eleven hours, these are the extended edition; and there just as much to watch on the other discs about the making of the films – and you see quit a lot of New Zealand.

There is one problem, the sound! The quite parts are very low and the battles are very loud, so I’m watching with remote in hand, me controlling the sound as I watch, on low no one is bothered, but the battles can be hear through the house. I just wonder if it’s the recording on the disc or is it me, Dad had problems with is hearing in his letter years, as I heard him tilling some one ‘I’ve out lived my ears’

I suppose as sixty-five draws closer what will fail will fail about now, I expect the problem is with the epic films like ‘The Lords of the Rinds’ I never had his with ‘Open All Hours’

I’ve only just watched ‘Lords of the Rings’ as I have more time due to my cold, I’ve watched ‘The Fellowship of the Rings’ and ‘The Two Towers’ so now I have ‘The Return of the King’ still to watch; each film is on two discs so it will be disc one this afternoon – the second disc tomorrow.

After that my family will know they don’t have to worry for a year or so ……..
