I left here yesterday at around 12:30 via an emergency call from my sister. Mom was on the way to the hospital. CJ took me and I got there before she did. Was in the er from around 1:30 until 11:00. They admitted her potassium way below what it should be and she is dehydrated. She also has a uti infection. I stayed the night she just looked so small in that bed she’s lost like 10 pounds in a week. So I stayed with no meds Betty brought me some yogurt, crackers and some puddings and waters for the night. She tried to give me money to go get me some dinner but I just wouldn’t take it as I knew she hadn’t eaten either. Mom is fair but is really weak and all prayers are greatly appreciated at this time. We set in place a DNR for her hurt me so bad to hear the words but I know it’s best for her. I just feel like she’s slowly slipping away from us and I don’t know what I will do when that time comes I will have lost not just my Mom but a very dear and special friend. I got home this morning as Shawn had an appointment out that way and he picked me up. I showered grabbed a cup of yogurt and crashed like the dead. I didn’t hear my brother reply back to a text that I sent him with the number to the nurses station in case she couldn’t answer the phone. I woke to my phone ringing with my cousin calling to check on her. I’m still really exhausted, my leg is swollen and hurting pretty bad.

Prayers for your mom and you. I remember seeing the DNR on my mom and they follow it to the letter. God Bless.
