The Flavor Analogy in PolyLife

Okay guys, I’ve been trying to really think this one through and I think I’ve pretty much assembled my thoughts enough to post this.

An analogy on how poly works (in MY life this is not for everyone).

SO here it goes…

I LOVE lemon sorbet. Absolutely love it. With all my heart. If given the choice I will almost always choose lemon sorbet.

Almost.

I also love chocolate ice cream. It’s like heaven on earth.

Even given the choice between the 2 flavors, I will choose the lemon 8 out of 10 times, on average. But you know, there are just those times where you want something a little different. Most of those times I pick chocolate. But, I can even take this a step deeper and be adventurous. I’ll have coffee (gasp) maybe some mango (double gasp).

Do I love lemon sorbet any less because I also love other flavors? Does lemon sorbet mean nothing to me because I occasionally get a craving for some weird BerryJungleFrootyTootyBubbleGumCupCake Flavor?

No. Lemon is still indeed my favorite. I will always go back to it at the end of the day and I will always list it as my favorite in any survey, interrogation, etc.

Just sometimes....I want something different.
