Opportunity I'm Not Excited About in meh...

I think I am about to opt out of a deal. If my friend says she’ll do it, then I will answer positively.

I was approached on Monday by my former supervisor about servicing a party at boss man’s residence. No that type of service and not that type of party. Dirty selves.

There is a symposium that takes place every year and there is a dinner the night before held in the honor of the speakers that will be there. I’d have to set up/break down, pour wine and beer, clean up, etc. I would have another person with me. Between the two of us, one will clean up and the other will either pour wine and stock up what’s being used.

Well, things got complicated when she brought it to me that I’d have to provide hor d’oeuvres and desserts. So that would move into the catering side of business, which I told her, and also I would require half payment up front and I don’t think boss man would want to pay two caterers (he is having bbq as a catered main dish). Given the notice I received and the amount of time I will need to workout menu/appetizer options, I want to pass. I put that out there and she decided to retract the food and desserts.

I’m waiting to hear from a friend. Because I don’t have reliable people around me, I think I really will have to pass. If friend wants to do it, then fine.

But I haven’t heard back from friend. ::smh::
