'My' Colorado in All Of The Above

I’m volunteering at Rural Philanthropy Days in Creede, Colorado, and what a fantastic drive along Route 149!

The road north from South Fork squeezes between the towering canyon walls - next to the Rio Grande River and the railroad tracks.

Then, just past Wagon Wheel Gap, the canyon widens into a broad ‘park’ with mountains in the distance on both sides of the highway.

A beautiful drive, and with the yellowing aspens against the morning/evening sunlight, it’s a picture postcard come to life.
