Saturday seems it could a busy day, as usually when I was ready for bed I pull curtains open, at six I was awake and watching the rain pass the window at forty five degrees. By breakfast time there was a blue sky, being September the mornings are cool, the sun was behind the next-door house, that apart this garden will not sort of winter sun as its faces south – south – west, so we will miss the early sun but from mid morning to late afternoon there should be sun warming the back of the house; I hope!

I had made porridge for myself and my Son, my Daughter was already gone by then to her caravan job, then my Son came down saying ‘Your phone was ringing’ I went up to my room and looked at a number I had seen before but couldn’t put a name to, so I rang back – it was our landlords – can we visit you in thirty minuets; yes I said while screaming in my head!

There was stuff here and there, so I had a run about until they arrived, as the bell chimed my porridge was just going into the bin; I can do a good panic ………… And there they were, Mr and Mrs Landlord and one of there’s brothers, as it worked out they hardly stepped out of the hall; after a shake of hands they were off to a beach; some friends of there’s were marking their ten years married by renewing their vows.

I remarked how lucky they were with the weather, some clouds had arrived but as I write they have parted, so it could still be warm’ish after all!

This afternoon I had a walk though the flat part of Grampound Road, that is the name of the village the road through the village is Fore Street. We are quite situated with the pub, the Shop Post Office and the Methodist Church and Village Hall, all with in a few minuets walk.
