Fall is in the air in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Our temps are a bit chilly this morning. Starting yesterday and especially late afternoon the temperatures started dropping. I decided to mow/mulch leaves yesterday evening before it got dark and the light breeze made the heat from the mower engine feel pretty good. Tonight the temperature is supposed to get in the low 40s. Not frost/freeze yet, but just a matter of time. I like Fall, but not fond of the winter that follows. Love the Fall colors too and even though we had lots of rain throughout the spring and summer we haven’t had much recently. I believe we’ll still have some beautiful fall foliage to enjoy even though we could use more rain now.

Strange or maybe not how wonderful it is every morning that I go to work to know that there is an end in sight. Not maybe, but for sure! Oh Happy Happy! No doubts no regret.....well until I talk to my Dad. Dad is dad and even though he attempts and tries to be positive, he can’t help but have some doubts about me being able to make it after I retire. I will retire and I will make it very wonderfully, thank you. Dad is worried that I will not quite have the house paid off by the time I retire. It doesn’t seem to sink in that I could if I was in a pinch, but being a Dad he looks for the dips in decisions. He is ready to help me finish paying it off but I have and will continue to attempt to convince him that I really will be ok and have a plan. Maybe he is here to keep me grounded in this life changing decision as I cannot stay on cloud 9 with a negative thrown in now and then. lol

Went to visitation and the funeral of the man who was killed last weekend brush hogging a field. Sad. Please pray for his son that found him. He is having a very hard time and his last time seeing his father after the accident will haunt him for a long time. It was a closed casket and we’re heard it will also haunt the emergency persons who went to the scene. The area was not accessible to the ambulance and a guy with a pickup took the emergency crew in his truck. He wishes he hadn’t seen what he saw too. Prayers would be appreciated.

My yard looks good. It is daylight now and I can scope things out. I’m going to miss the extra daylight hours when the time changes. Oh well, spring is only 8 mos away. lol

It is time for me to get some day clothes on and head to the Workshop yard sale. I am positive this yard sale and the cash donations are going to ensure the employees have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas at the Workshop. I turned over 2 $100 checks on Thursday afternoon and another load of donations. I was even able to get the hall closet cleaned out and donated several adult coats and jackets in addition to some other things. Ended up donating 3 bags of stuff and my SIL took a truck load of stuff that belonged to her mom. Bless her heart she brought me the bread maker that her mom had late Thursday evening and I tried it out when I got home from work yesterday. Had a taste of a homemade loaf of bread about 8 last night. Yum. I really need to keep control of the homemade breads or I’ll be sewing me xxxxxbig clothes in no time.

Take care and God Bless and I’m off to help at the yard sale if needed. Otherwise I’ll do some browsing and write a check.
