The cats are wrestling on the bed. They do a little more of this than I am comfortable with, but they don’t hurt each other and eventually they stop. The big thing is that they throw off a lot of fur in the tussle. I don’t think Diego is ever going to grow up fully.
I finally had time to try out my brand new washing machine last night and wash my wonderful new sheets (major splurge last month) and there was a lot of hair in the lint trap of the dryer!
It is a big significantly more energy efficient and quiet washer. That is so cool. Now if I can just figure out what to do about the little swarming almost microscopic bugs I found on it yesterday…
We are having a three-day weekend here in the United States, our last holiday until “The Holidays” start in late November. I am teaching both the yoga classes on Monday so it will only be a partial holiday for me but a deeply appreciated one nonetheless.
Apparently Miss E. and one of her closest girl friends from way back are coming to visit me next weekend on some mysterious cultural excursion. Miss E. turns 15 this coming week. Wowza! Their mothers know, I am relieved to find out, and I will be required to sign for them as unaccompanied minors when they arrive on the train.
There is a boyfriend in the picture at home and as the original request was so vague I had my doubts about the whole idea.
I am in a bit of a mind frenzy about cleaning and provisioning to prepare for this. They are both very smart practical girls as well as being urban and sophisticated but still…they are only 15! Just.
Toad is not happy. She knows I will fret, heck I already am fretting…
But it will also be fun. We appear to be hammering out the details as the day progresses here. I needed to stop writing above so I could go to the farmers market.
I managed to restrain myself in my purchases but I still have a bunch of food to get cleaned up and put away.
The cats are napping, the sun is coming out and I have lots and lots to do.
But maybe I will take a nap first myself. :)
