scorched soaked and folded
over and again
it hurts like hell to burn
it hurts like hell to bend
but then one day
you wake sharp as a razor’s end

heated and beaten down
heated and beaten down
thrown in the muck and
twirled around
the calm is short
the pain is long
but then one day
you wake up strong

some day soon
you’re gonna wake up singin’
some day soon
you’re gonna wake up swingin’
some day soon
my katana
some day soon
maybe manana
